What is Yoga?
Yoga is an ancient philosophy that began in India about 5000
years ago. Yoga postures exercise every
part of the body’s frame through stretching and toning of the joints and
muscles, the spine, and the skeletal system.
By also working on the internal organs, glands, and nerves, Yoga helps
to keep all the bodily systems healthy.
It allows the body to release mental and physical tension while
revitalizing the body. The yogic
breathing helps to calm the mind and brings more peace into our lives.
Yoga has
numerous benefits including reducing stress, improving strength and
flexibility, losing weight, increasing energy, increasing the overall tone of
all the body’s systems, and enhancing feelings of general well-being.
